000 TTAA00 KMAF 170611 FFWMAF NMC015-171010- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MIDLAND TX 111 AM CDT (1211 AM MDT) SAT AUG 17 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIDLAND TX HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 410 AM MDT (510 AM CDT) FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO ...NORTHERN EDDY COUNTY AT 12:10 AM MDT...MIDLAND DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAINS OCCURRING IN NORTHERN EDDY COUNTY...ESPECIALLY IN ARTESIA. RAINFALL ESTIMATES OF NEARLY TWO INCHES HAVE OCCURRED SINCE 11 PM MDT. THE PUBLIC IN ARTESIA REPORTED ROAD CLOSURES NEAR EAGLE DRAW IN THE CENTER PART OF ARTESIA. THE DRAW CONTINUES TO FILL WITH WATER THOUGH NOT AT BANKFULL AS OF 12:10 AM MDT. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
