000 TTAA00 KSTL 172058 SVRSTL MOC099-172145- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ST LOUIS MO 356 PM CDT THU OCT 17 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ST LOUIS HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 445 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN EAST CENTRAL MISSOURI ...JEFFERSON COUNTY TOWNS IN THE PATH INCLUDE HILLSBORO...DITTMER AND FESTUS. NWS RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE TdHUNDERSTORM OVER EXTREME NORTHEAST WASHINGTON COUNTY JUST NORTHEAST OF RICHWOODS. THE STORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH. THE STORM WILL LIKELY PRODUCE HAIL UP TO I INCH IN DIAMETER ALONG WITH GUSTY WINDS AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. JPK
