000 TTAA00 KSDF 110454 FFWSDF INC019-110900- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LOUISVILLE KY 1251 AM EDT SAT MAY 11 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LOUISVILLE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 500 AM EDT FOR PERSONS IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTH INDIANA ...CLARK COUNTY AT 1247 AM EDT WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN OCCURRING OVER CLARK COUNTY INDIANA. CLARK COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTED FLOODING IN HENRYVILLE AT THE INTERSECTION OF HIGHWAY 160 AND 31. RADAR INDICATED MORE THUNDERSTORMS WITH PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN WILL MOVE ACROSS CLARK COUNTY THROUGH AT LEAST 3 AM EDT. THIS WILL CAUSE FLOODING TO INCREASE WITH SWOLLEN CREEKS AND STREAMS COMING OUT OF THEIR BANKS. BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. HOWEVER A FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR MUCH OF THIS AREA. THUNDERSTORMS WITH GUSTY WINDS AND HEAVY RAIN WILL GRADUALLY WEAKEN AS THEY MOVE ACROSS THE NORTHERN PARTS OF KENTUCKY.
