FLASH FLOOD WARNING    EFFECTIVE UNTIL  730 PM CDT
FOR RESIDENTS IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH MISSISSIPPI
 
   ...NORTHERN WILKINSON COUNTY
 
AT 6:20 PM CDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR ONE HOUR
RAINFALL ESTIMATES OF 2 TO 3.5 INCHES WAS INDICATED ACROSS
NORTHERN PORTIONS OF WILKINSON COUNTY MISSISSIPPI DURINMG THE
LAST HOUR. SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO MOVE
INTO THE AREA WITH AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAINFALL POSSIBLE
IN SOME LOCATIONS. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING WEST AT 10 TO
15 MPH. THE BROOKHAVEN MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY PATROL REPORTED PORTIONS
OF HIGHWAY 61 NORTH OF WOODVILLE NEAR BUFFALO RIVER WAS FLOODED.
THE COMMUNITIES OF WILKINSON AND DOLOROSO ARE INCLUDED IN THIS WARNING.
 
MOST DEATHS IN FLASH FLOODING OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT ATTEMPT
TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
