THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW ORLEANS HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1200 AM CDT
FOR RESIDENTS IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH MISSISSIPPI
 
   ...SOUTHERN HARRISON COUNTY
 
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN SLIDELL INDICATES 1.5 INCHES OF RAIN
PER HOUR IS OCCURING IN THE GULFPORT AND BILOXI AREA. REPORTS FROM
BILOXI P.D. INDICATED WIDESPREAD STREET FLOODING IN THE AREA. THE
THUNDERSTOMRS ARE NEARLY STATIONARY THUS AN ADDITIONAL 2 TO 3 INCHES OF
RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE DURING THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS.
 
THIS AREA IS ALSO UNDER A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH UNTIL 2 AM.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
