000 TTAA00 KLCH 120033 SVRLCH TXC245-120130- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LAKE CHARLES LA 731 PM CDT SUN AUG 11 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAKE CHARLES HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 830 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS ...JEFFERSON COUNTY AND ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS AT 730PM RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM BETWEEN ANAHUAC AND WINNIE MOVING TOWARD THE EAST AT 15 MPH. THIS THUNDERSTORM SHOULD CROSS INTO JEFFERSON COUNTY BY 745PM. THE TOWN OF HAMPSHIRE IS IMMEDIATELY IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER IN A STRONG BUILDING. DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN... AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. BECOMING LESS NUMEROUS. UPPER TROF WILL CONTINUE TO DIG AS SHRV WV DROPS SE INTO SE OKLA TONIGHT. BELIEVE THIS ENERGY WILL PRODUCE AN AREA OF SHOWERS AND TSTMS N OF FA. GIVEN POSTION OF UPPER TROF...
