THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAKE CHARLES HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 430 PM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS
...JEFFERSON COUNTY...ORANGE COUNTY
NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DUMPED 2 TO 4 INCHES
OF RAINFALL IN JEFFERSON AND ORANGE COUNTIES THIS MORNING. SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE ACROSS THE WARNED AREA WITH
ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 INCHES POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON.
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
