000 TTAA00 KLBF 082311 SVRLBF NEC069-161-090000- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTH PLATTE NE 607 PM CDT (507 PM MDT) WED MAY 8 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORTH PLATTE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 700 PM CDT (600 PM MDT) FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN THE NEBRASKA PANHANDLE ...NORTHERN GARDEN COUNTY...SOUTHERN SHERIDAN COUNTY AT 5:07 MDT (6:07 CDT) DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MOVING INTO SOUTHWEST SHERIDAN AND NORTHWEST GARDEN COUNTIES. THE LINE EXTENDED FROM 9 MILES EAST TO 22 MILES SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF ALLIANCE. MOVEMENT WAS TO THE EAST AT 20 MPH. COMMUNITIES ALONG AND NEAR HIGHWAY 2 IN SOUTHERN SHERIDAN COUNTY AND THOSE AREAS IN THE NORTHERN THIRD OF GARDEN COUNTY ARE IN THE PATH OF THESE STORMS. HAIL TO QUARTER SIZE AND WINDS TO OR ABOVE 60 MPH ARE ANTICIPATED WITH THESE STORMS. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSbIDE...SEEK SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER IN A STRONG BUILDING. DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN... AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. STAY INSIDE AWAY FROM WINDOWS UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED.
