000 TTAA00 KJAX 080414 TORJAX FLC107-080515- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSONVILLE FL 1213 AM EDT TUE OCT 8 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSONVILLE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 115 AM EDT FOR PERSONS IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS ... IN NORTH FLORIDA ...PUTNAM COUNTY AT 1210 AM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A TORNADO MOVING INTO THE SOUTHWEST SECTION OF PUTNAM COUNTY. THE STORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 40 MPH AND WILL PASS NEAR PALATKA BY 1220 AND REACH THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF PUTNAM COUNTY BY 100 AM. DO NOT USE YOUR CAR TO TRY TO OUTRUN A TORNADO.
