   THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...

A COLD FRONT THIS MORNING WAS LOCATED ACROSS EXTREME NORTHWEST
MISSISSIPPI...SOUTHEAST ARKANSAS AND NORTHEAST TEXAS. AN UPPER
LEVEL DISTURBANCE MOVING RAPIDLY NORTHEAST HAS FIRED UP STRONG
TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS NORTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL MISSISSPPI.

TO THE SOUTH OF THE FRONT...THE ATMOSPHERE IS VERY UNSTABLE ACROSS
THE CENTRAL PART OF THE STATE. THE FRONT WILL BECOME STATIONARY
THIS AFTERNOON...WITH MORE THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED TO THE SOUTH OF
IT ACROSS NORTH AND CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI. A FEW OF THE STORMS MAY
PRODUCE LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WINDS AND POSSIBLY TORNADOS.

ACTIVATION OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT...HAM RADIO AND SPOTTER PERSONNEL
WILL BE REQUIRED ACROSS NORTH AND CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI FOR THIS
AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.
