000 TTAA00 KJAN 132047 FFWJAN MSC091-132245- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSON MS 345 PM CDT SAT JUL 13 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSON HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 545 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTH CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI ...NORTHERN MARION COUNTY DOPPLER RADAR IN JACKSON INDICATES THAT NEARLY 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE OCCURRED IN NORTHERN MARION COUNTY NEAR MORGANTOWN DURING THE LAST HOUR. THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO DEVELOP AND TRACK ACROSS PORTIONS OF NORTHERN MARION COUNTY AND FLOODING AND PONDING OF WATER IS LIKELY THROUGH 545 PM. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLASH FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND. <

THE STRONGER STROMS WILL CONTAIN LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL AND STRONG GUSTY WINDS. HOWEVER...SEVERE THUDNERSTORMS ARE NOT EXPECTED TO DEVELOP AT THIS TIME.
