FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  545 PM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN NORTHEAST INDIANA
 
   ...ALLEN COUNTY...WHITLEY COUNTY
 
NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DUMPED COPIOUS AMOUNTS OF RAIN ACROSS ALLEN
AND WHITLEY COUNTIES AND WILL CONITNUE TO DO SO FOR AT LEAST THE NEXT
ONE TO TWO HOURS. AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE
AREAS BY 530PM.
 
SOME TOWNS INCLUDED IN THIS WARNING ARE FORT WAYNE...COLUMBIA CITY...AND
NEW HAVEN. SOME STREAMS IN THE AREA INCLUDE THE EEL RIVER...SAINT JOSEPH
RIVER...SAINT MARYS RIVER...AND MAUMEE RIVER.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
