NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE INDIANAPOLIS IN
316 PM EST WED JUL 24 1996

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH CONTINUES IN EFFECT FOR THE
NORTHERN THIRD OF INDIANA UNTIL 8 PM EST...

AT 310 PM EST STRONG THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED FROM EAST CENTRAL
ILLINOIS THEN EASTWARD TO NORTHEAST INDIANA. THE STRONGEST STORMS
EXTENDED FROM WARSAW TO JUST NORTH OF LOGANSPORT TO NEAR MONTICELLO
AND FOWLER. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST AT 30 TO 40
MILES PER HOUR. THESE STORMS ARE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LARGE
HAIL...VERY STRONG WINDS...TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS AS WELL AS
DANGEROUSLY LIGHTNING.

PERSONS IN THE WATCH AREA SHOULD CONTINUE TO MONITOR LOCAL RADIO AND
TELEVISION STATIONS OR NOAA WEATHER RADIO FOR THE LATEST WEATHER
INFORMATION AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION IF SEVERE
WEATHER APPROACHES.
