THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WILMINGTON HAS ISSUED A
FLOOD WARNING FOR URBAN AND SMALL STREAMS UNTIL 500 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN NORTH KENTUCKY
 
   ...CARROLL COUNTY
 
AT 230 PM...COUNTY PERSONNEL FROM CARROLL COUNTY REPORTED THAT CREEKS
WERE RISING AND GETTING CLOSE TO BANKFULL. ADDITIONAL RAIN THROUGH 4 PM
WILL LIKELY CAUSE SMALLER CREEKS AND STREAMS TO OVERFLOW THEIR BANKS.
DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES INDICATED THAT AROUND 2 INCHES OF RAIN HAD
FALLEN ACROSS THE COUNTY WITH AN ADDITIONAL HALF INCH POSSIBLE.
 
REMEMBER THAT MOST FLOOD DEATHS ARE THE RESULT OF EITHER DRIVING
INTO FLOOD WATERS OR CHILDREN PLAYING IN FLOODED AREAS. NEVER DRIVE
INTO FLOODED ROADWAYS. THE WATER LEVEL MAY BE MUCH DEEPER THAN YOU
THINK...OR THE ROAD MAY BE WASHED OUT COMPLETELY. DO NOT LET YOUR
CHILDREN PLAY NEAR DRAINAGE DITCHES OR STREAMS.
