SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  300 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS......

AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS
 
 
AT 2 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR SHOWED A STRONG THUNDERSTORM
CROSSING INTO YORK COUNTY FROM NEW HAMPSHIRE. THIS STORM WAS NEAR THE
ACTON/SHAPLEIGH AREA AND MOVING TOWARD THE EAST-NORTHEAST AT ABOUT 35
MPH. THIS STORM HAS A HISTORY OF DIME-SIZE HAIL AND STRONG GUSTY WINDS
AS IT HEADS TOWARD BUXTON, MAINE.
 
IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER IN A
STRONG BUILDING.  DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN...
AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS.
