FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  915 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN WEST CENTRAL LOWER MICHIGAN
 
   ...SOUTHERN MECOSTA COUNTY
 
AT 505 PM EDT... DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY
HEAVY RAIN IN CENTRAL MECOSTA COUNTY. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING SOUTH AT
20 MPH AND WILL PRODUCE TORRENTIAL RAIN IN A VERY SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME.
RAINFALL IN EXCESS OF 3 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED IN THE SOUTH PORTION OF
MECOSTA COUNTY THROUGH 7 PM. LOW LYING AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS ARE LIKEY
TO FLOOD AS THESE THUNDERSTORMS PASS THROUGH.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOU TO CROSS SAFELY.
VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONBED QUICKLY... AND
YOU SHOULD MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
