A FEW CITIES INCLUDED IN THE RISK AREA ARE ABILENE...BROWNWOOD...MINERAL WELLS...WACO...TEMPLE... KILLEEN...SHERMAN...PARIS AND THE DALLAS-FORT WORTH METROPLEX. A MOIST AND UNSTABLE AIRMASS REMAINED IN PLACE ACROSS NORTH TEXAS AT MIDDAY. A WEAK STATIONARY FRONT STRETCHED ACROSS THE REGION FROM LONGVIEW TO HILLSBORO TO NEAR ABILENE. MEANWHILE...A WEAK UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE WAS MOVING INTO WEST TEXAS. THE COMBINATION OF THESE FEATURES WILL RESULT IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS NORTH TEXAS. THE MAIN THREAT OF SEVERE WEATHER WILL BE FROM LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS. EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICIALS AND STORM SPOTTER GROUPS SHOULD MONITOR THE LATEST FORECASTS AND WEATHER CONDITIONS AND BE READY FOR POSSIBLE ACTIVATION THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.
