THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FORT WORTH HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1000 AM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...JACK COUNTY
 
AT 658 AM CST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED THAT
THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN WERE OVER THE MOST OF JACK
COUNTY. THESE STORMS WERE PART OF A LARGE AREA OF RAIN THE COVERED MOST
OF THE NORTHWESTERN HALF OF NORTH TEXAS. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES THAT
OVER 2 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER THE SOUTHEASTERN PART OF JACK
COUNTY SINCE 4 AM. AT 655 AM...THE JACK COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE
REPORTED THAT HIGHWAY 281 ABOUT 2 MILES SOUTH OF PERRIN AND FM 2210
WEST OF PERRIN HAD WATER OVER THE ROAD.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
