IN NORTHEAST GEORGIA ...NEWTON COUNTY IN NORTHWEST GEORGIA ...ROCKDALE COUNTY AT 540 PM DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A TORNADO FORMING AROUND 5 MILES SOUTHWEST OF CONYERS. THE SEVERE STORM ASSOCIATED WITH THIS TORNADO WAS MOVING EAST AT 30 MPH. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE IS A BASEMENT. GET UNDER A WORKBENCH OR PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE.
