839 WUUS1 KATL 122318 RRA SVRATL GAC207-171-231-293-130015- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PEACHTREE CITY GA 615 PM EST THU DEC 12 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PEACHTREE CITY HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 715 PM EST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN CENTRAL GEORGIA ...MONROE COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL GEORGIA ...LAMAR COUNTY...PIKE COUNTY...UPSON COUNTY AT 610 PM WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A CLUSTER OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AN AREA FROM ZEBULON TO FORSYTH TO 10 MILES WEST OF THOMASTON. THESE SEVERE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST AT 30 MPH AND WILL LIKELY PRODUCE LARGE HAIL. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS. HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO DONT DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
