...THUNDERSTORMS WITH TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS CAUSING FLOODING...

AT 750 PM EDT SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED OVER MUCH OF NORTH
AND CENTRAL GEORGIA. MANY OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE PRODUCING
TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS WHICH WERE CAUSING URBAN AND SMALL STREAM
FLOODING. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF UP TO 3 INCHES IN ONE HOUR HAVE BEEN
ESTIMATED BY DOPPLER RADAR.

SEVERAL ROADS HAVE BEEN REPORTED WASHED OUT OR FLOODED ACROSS
PEACH...CHEROKEE AND HENRY COUNTIES.

THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE TORREVNTIAL RAINS AS THEY
MOVE SOUTH AT 5 TO 10 MPH. THE STORMS SHOULD BEGIN TO DIMINISH AFTER
11 PM. UNTIL THEN MOTORIST SHOULD BE ALERT FOR FLOODED ROADS AND NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS THEM.
