IN NORTHWEST GEORGIA ...ROCKDALE COUNTY AT 653 PM EDT WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM JUST SOUTHWEST OF CONYERS ALONG HIGHWAY 138. THE SEVERE STORM WILL MOVE EAST TO NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. ...VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN CONTINUE TO DEVELOP
JUST NORTH OF THE ATLANT AREA EARLY THIS AFTERNOON...
AT 1 PM WEATHER RADAR SHOWED A LARGE AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS...SOME
QUITE STRONG....FROM NEAR CEDARTOWN TO CARTERSVILLE...EAST TO CANTON
AND CUMMING. THE INDIVIDUAL STORMS HAVE BEEN MOVING TO THE EAST AT
30 MILES AN HOUR. THE STRONGEST STORM WAS CENTER 10 MILES SOUTH OF
CARTERSVILLE. REPORTS THAT WERE RECEIVED FROM PAULDING AND BARTOW
COUNTIES HAVE INDICATED THAT MAINLY VERY HEAVY RAIN AND DANGEROUS
CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING WAS OBSERVED.
THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP NORTH AND WEST OF ATLANTA
EARLY THIS AFTERNOON AND GRADUALLY MOVE SOUTH TO THE SOUTHERN
