000 TTAA00 KATL 080151 SVRATL GAC141-080245- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PEACHTREE CITY GA 951 PM EDT TUE MAY 7 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PEACHTREE CITY HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1045 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA ...HANCOCK COUNTY AT 948 PM EDT WEATHER RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR DEVEREUX. THIS STORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 10 MPH AND SHOULD MOVE TO NEAR SPARTA BY 10 PM. LARGE HAIL IS LIKELY WITH THIS STORM. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
