000 TTAA00 KSAT 142053 SVRSAT TXC209-142200- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO TX 352 PM CDT WED AUG 14 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 500 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...HAYS COUNTY AT 350 PM...THUNDERSTORMS ARE MERGING NORTHWEST OF SAN MARCOS NEAR WIMBERLY. AS THESE STORMS MERGE THEY WILL LIKELY BECOME SEVERE PRODUCING LARGE HAIL OR DAMAGING WINDS. MOVEMENT WAS SOUTHEAST AT 10 MPH. PEOPLE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM SHOULD BE ALERT TO THE POSSIBILITY OF LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS. FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN CAN ALSO OCCUR WITH SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS...FLOODING SMALL STREAMS...LOW AREAS...AND LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
