FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1115 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS
 
   ...GILLESPIE COUNTY
 
AT 905 PM RADAR INDICATED HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS JUST WEST OF WILLOW
CITY AND NEAR LUCKENBACH. LITTLE MOVEMENT WAS NOTED. RADAR ESTIMATES
A ONE HOUR RAINFALL RATE OF BETWEEN 2 AND 3 INCHES FALLING FROM THESE
STORMS DURING THE PAST HOUR.
 
IN ADDITION...WATER WAS REPORTED OVER THE ROADS AT THE INTERSECTION OF
FM 1376 AND THE 1888 CUTOFF JUST SOUTH OF LUCKENBACH.
 
 
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED
ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IMMINENT.
MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS BRIDGES...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY
TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT TO ESCAPE
RISING WATER DURING THREATENING RAINS.
