FORECAST...PERIODS OF THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE OUTLOOK
AREA THIS AFTERNOON INTO TONIGHT.  MOST OF THE STORMS WILL PRODUCE
HEAVY RAIN.  HOWEVER...A FEW OF THE STORMS COULD BECOME SEVERE FROM
AROUND 300 PM THROUGH SUNSET WITH HAIL UP TO ONE INCH IN DIAMETER AND
DAMAGING WINDS.

EMERGENCY MANAGERS AND SPOTTER GROUPS SHOULD MONITOR FORECASTS AND
STATEMENTS FOR POSSIBLE ACTIVATION LATER THIS AFTERNOON INTO THIS
EVENING.

DISCUSSION...AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE IN WESTERN NEBRASKA WILL
TRACK SLOWLY NORTHEAST OVERNIGHT WITH AN ASSOCIATED TROUGH OF LOW
PRESSURE AT THE SURFACE IN CENTRAL KANSAS MOVING TO WESTERN MISSOURI
BY MONDAY MORNING.  THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP ALONG AND
EAST OF THE LOW PRESSURE AREA THROUGH MONDAY MORNING.  WITH DEEP
MOISTURE OVER THE AREA...HEAVY RAINS WILL BE THE MAIN THREAT WITH THE
THUNDERSTORMS...ALTHOUGH ISOLATED STORMS MAY PRODUCE LARGE HAIL AND
DAMAGING WINDS.
