THE SEVERE WEATHER POTENTIAL IN THE COUNTY WARNING AREA OF THE CHEYENNE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE IS MEDIUM THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.

DISCUSSION...THE AIR MASS HAS BECOME MORE MOIST AND UNSTABLE OVER THE
AREA.  UPSLOPE WINDS AT THE SURFACE WILL COMBINE WITH AN UPPER LEVEL
DISTURBANCE MOVING IN FROM THE WEST TO TRIGGER SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS.
SOME OF THESE STORMS MAY BECOME QUITE STRONG THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH
THIS EVENING.

THIS OUTLOOK IS FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES IN SOUTHEAST WYOMING AND

...A FEW STRONG THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DEVELOPED IN LARAMIE COUNTY OF
SOUTHEAST WYOMING AT 1250 PM...

THE STORMS WERE LOCATED IN FAR WESTERN LARAMIE COUNTY ABOUT 20 TO 30
MILES WEST AND NORTHWEST OF CHEYENNE.  THEY WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST AT
20 MPH...AND WILL BE APPROACHING THE WESTERN PART OF CHEYENNE BY 115 PM.

THESE STORMS COULD PRODUCE HAIL AND HEAVY RAIN...ALONG WITH GUSTY WINDS
AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.  PEOPLE OUTSIDE AT THE FRONTIER PARK SHOULD
KEEP AN EYE ON WEATHER CONDITIONS AND BE READY TO MOVE TO A SAFE PLACE
IF THESE STORMS MOVE RIGHT OVER THE CITY..

...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED ACROSS WESTERN LARAMIE COUNTY AT
140 PM...

THE STRONGEST STORM WAS LOCATED ABOUT 20 TO 30 MILES NORTHWEST OF
CHEYENNE IN NORTHWEST LARAMIE COUNTY.  ANOTHER STORM WAS ABOUT 10
TO 15 MILES NORTHWEST OF THE CITY...WITH YET ANOTHER ONE ABOUT
15 MILES SOUTHWEST OF CHEYENNE.

MOST OF THE STORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 20 MPH.  THE CLOSEST
STORM TO CHEYENNE COULD CLIP THE NORTHERN PARTS OF THE CITY
BETWEEN 200 AND 230 PM.  MARBLE SIZE HAIL AND HEAVY RAIN HAVE BEEN
OCCURRING WITH THESE STORMS...SO BE READY TO MOVE INDOORS OR TO A
SAFE PLACE IF A ST~ORM MOVES INTO YOUR AREA.

PANHANDLE ACROSS CENTRAL SIOUX...WESTERN AND SOUTHERN DAWES...
AND NORTHERN BOX BUTTE COUNTIES.  THE WORST STORM WAS LOCATED ABOUT
30 MILES SOUTHWEST OF CHADRON.  THE STORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST AT
20 TO 25 MPH.

SMALL HAIL...HEAVY RAIN AND GUSTY WINDS ARE POSSIBLE WITH THESE
STORMS.

A TORNADO WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED UNTIL 9 PM FOR THE PANHANDLE.
