000 TTAA00 KCRP 050007 SVRCRP TXC469-050100- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CORPUS CHRISTI TX 704 PM CDT TUE JUN 4 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CORPUS CHRISTI HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 800 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...... IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...VICTORIA COUNTY AT 700 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM LOCATED 8 MILES TO THE NORTH OF VICTORIA. THIS STORM IS MOVING TO THE SOUTH AT APPROXIMATELY 15 TO 20 MPH AND WILL BE ENTERING THE VICTORIA METROPOLITAN AREA BETWEEN 730 AND 745 PM. RESIDENTS CAN EXPECT VERY HEAVY RAIN...STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND SMALL HAIL WITH THIS STORM AS IT MOVES ACROSS THE REGION. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM...TAKE SHELTER. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE WINDSPEEDS IN EXCESS OF 58 MPH WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN AND DAMAGING WINDS.
