000 TTAA00 KCLE 091641 FFWCLE PAC049-091745- BULLETIN FLOOD WARNING FOR URBAN AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CLEVELAND OH 1238 PM EDT MON SEP 9 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CLEVELAND HAS ISSUED A FLOOD WARNING FOR URBAN AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS EFFECTIVE UNTIL 145 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN PENNSYLVANIA ...ERIE COUNTY AT 1235 PM...DOPPLER RADAR IN CLEVELAND INDICATED A BAND OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN BETWEEN WESELYVILLE AND NORTHEAST. THE STORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 15 MPH AND ARE LIKELY TO DROP BETWEEN 1 AND 11/2 INCHES OF RAIN BY 130 PM. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND. GABRIC

THE AIRMASS ACROSS NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST OHIO AS WELL AS NORTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA IS MOIST AND UNSTABLE TODAY. TO OUR WEST A COLD FRONT EXTENDED SOUTH FROM MICHIGAN THROUGH INDIANA. THIS FRONT WILL PUSH INTO NORTHWEST OHIO THIS AFTERNOON AND MOVE EAST ACROSS THE AREA TODAY AND EARLY TONIGHT.
