FLOOD WARNING FOR URBAN AREAS AND SMALL STREAM
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1245 AM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

   ...STARK COUNTY
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS HAVE BEEN PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN OVER PORTIONS
OF STARK COUNTY. AT 1030 PM MORE THAN ONE INCH OF RAIN FELL IN 10
MINUTES IN NORTH CANTON.
 
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL PERSIST ACROSS STARK COUNTY UNTIL 1130
PM AND HAS CAUSED CONSIDERABLE URBAN FLOODING.
 
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR NORTHWEST OHIO AND
PARTS OF NORTH CENTRAL OHIO UNTIL 11 PM EDT.

SOME CITIES INCLUDED IN THIS WATCH ARE TOLEDO...FINDLAY...PORT
CLINTON...FREMONT...TIFFIN...NORWALK AND HURON.

THUNDERSTORMS WERE DEVELOPING AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT THAT WAS OVER
INDIANA. SOME OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS COULD BECOME SEVERE AND HAVE LARGE
HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS.

PEOPLE IN AND NEAR THE WATCH AREA SHOULD BE ON THE ALERT FOR
THREATENING WEATHER AND BE READY TO MOVE TO SAFETY IF NECESSARY. PEOPLE

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR MOST OF NORTHERN OHIO
UNTIL 1 AM.

A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR THE ISLANDS TO RIPLEY NEW
YORK UNTIL 915 PM EDT.

AT 8 PM DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS NEAR CLEVELAND AND
OVER THE LAKE NORTH OF CLEVELAND. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE  MOVING
SOUTHEAST AT 30 MPH.

PEOPLE IN THE WATCH AREA NEED TO KEEP AN EYE ON THE SKY AND BE READY TO
MOVE TO SAFETY IF THREATENING WEATHER OCCURS OR WARNINGS ARE ISSUED.
