000 TTAA00 KCAE 132319 SVRCAE GAC181-140000- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC 717 PM EDT SAT APR 13 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN COLUMBIA HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 800 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN GEORGIA ...LINCOLN COUNTY AT 717 PM DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM MOVING INTO LINCOLN COUNTY. THE STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH AND WILL AFFECT THE TOWNS OF LINCOLNTON AND NEW HOPE. LARGE HAIL HAS BEEN REPORTED WITH THIS STORM AS IT MOVED ACROSS CENTRAL AND EASTERN GEORGIA. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS. AMATEUR RADIO AND OTHER SPOTTERS ARE REQUESTED TO MONITOR THIS STORM AND RELAY REPORTS PROMPTLY TO TNHE NEAREST NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE.
