000 TTAA00 KBOS 081948 SVRBOS MAC011-082030- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAUNTON MA 345 PM EDT MON JUL 8 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TAUNTON HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 430 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN WEST MASSACHUSETTS ...FRANKLIN COUNTY AT 343 PM...WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A DEVELOPING SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN WESTERN FRANKLIN COUNTY...NEAR COLRAIN SOUTH THROUGH CONWAY. WIND GUSTS TO 40 MPH AND PEA SIZE HAIL HAVE ALREADY BEEN REPORTED FROM SPOTTERS. THIS STORM WILL MOVE EAST ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF FRANKLIN COUNTY THROUGH 430 PM AND MAY PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
