FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1115 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN  MASSACHUSETTS
 
   ...NORFOLK COUNTY...SUFFOLK COUNTY
 
AT 5 PM...HEAVY RAIN CONTINUED TO FALL ACROSS EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS.
SPOTTERS AROUND THE BOSTON AREA REPORTED TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF
3.5 TO 6.5 INCHES...SO FAR. THIS HEAVY RAIN CAUSED THE MUDDY RIVER
TO RISE OUT OF ITS BANKS IN BROOKLINE AND BOSTON.
 
HEAVY RAIN IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE INTO THE NIGHT.  THUS THE RISK OF
FLOODING IS NOT LIKELY TO DIMINISH.  CONSIDERABLE STREET FLOODING IS
ALSO LIKELY.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
