FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  900 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN NORTH CENTRAL CONNECTICUT
 
   ...WESTERN HARTFORD COUNTY
 
THUNDERSTORMS HAVE BEEN PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL OVER THE
BURLINGTON AREA OF WESTERN HARTFORD COUNTY BETWEEN 5 AND 6 PM.  DOPPLER
RADAR HAS ESTIMATED RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 3 TO 4 INCHES AND THIS WILL
LIKELY CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS IN WESTERN
HARTFORD COUNTY.
 
ADDITIONAL SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT THE AREA THROUGH
TONIGHT.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
