WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 436 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTIES
IN NORTHEAST COLORADO
SOUTHERN JEFFERSON
INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS
BUFFALO CREEK...PINE AND SHAFFERS CROSSING
AT 231 PM MDT WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY
RAIN JUST WEST OF PINE.
EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS.
FLOOD WATERS ARE MOVING DOWN [BUFFALO CREEK].
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR OCCURRING.
IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNING AREA MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.
RESIDENTS LIVING ALONG STREAMS AND CREEKS SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE

COZ030-032>050-080600- SIGNIFICANT WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR NORTHEAST AND NORTH CENTRAL COLORADO NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DENVER CO 1115 AM MDT WED AUG 07 1996 THIS OUTLOOK PERTAINS TO THE FOLLOWING COLORADO COUNTIES ADAMS ARAPAHOE BOULDER CLEAR CREEK DENVER DOUGLAS ELBERT GILPIN GRAND JACKSON JEFFERSON LARIMER LINCOLN LOGAN MORGAN PARK PHILLIPS SEDGWICK SUMMIT WASHINGTON WELD SYNOPSIS: HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD OVER COLORADO TODAY...AND WILL BRING DRIER AIR TO THE AREA. THERE WILL STILL BE ENOUGH MOISTURE FOR THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT OVER THE MOUNTAINS AND ALONG THE PALMER RIDGE. THESE STORMS WILL BE SLOW MOVING...AND COULD PRODUCE BRIEF HEAVY RAIN. SOME STORMS WILL MOVE OFF THE FOOTHILLS ONTO THE PLAINS AFTER 2PM. DUE TO THE DRIER AIRMASS..HEAVY RAIN IS NOT EXPECTED. BUT THE STORMS COULD PRODUCE GUSTY WINDS TO 40 MPH.
