...IT WILL ALSO BE VERY WINDY IN NORTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA TODAY...

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL APPROACH THE REGION DURING THE MIDDAY HOURS
TODAY AS A STORM SYSTEM LIFTS INTO ONTARIO. THE COMBINED CIRCULATION
AROUND THIS LOW PRESSURE AREA AND A HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM OVER THE
CANADIAN MARITIMES WILL PRODUCE VERY WINDY CONDITIONS OVER THE REGION
TODAY.

THIS MORNING...SUSTAINED WINDS OF 20 TO 40 MPH ARE EXPECTED FROM THE
SOUTH...WITH GUSTS OVER 50 MPH POSSIBLE ON THE RIDGES AND HILLTOPS.
AFTER THE COLD FRONT PASSES...THE WINDS WILL SHIFT TO THE WEST AT THE
SAME SPEED.

SCATTERED POWER OUTAGES ARE POSSIBLE FROM DOWNED TREES AND POWER LINES.
IN ONONDAGA COUNTY NEW YORK...THE STRONG WINDS HAVE ALREADY CAUSED MINOR
DAMAGE TO A ROOF AND A POWER OUTAGE IN SKANEATELES.
