A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE COUNTIES OF GLADWIN AND ARENAC IN EASTCENTRAL LOWER MICHIGAN UNTIL 1000 PM. THIS INCLUDES THE COMMUNITIES OF GLADWIN AND STANDISH. AT 415 PM...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS FROM JUST NORTHEAST OF GLADWIN TO JUST WEST OF EAST TAWAS. THIS LINE WAS MOVING TO THE EAST AT 25 MPH AND WILL AFFECT EASTERN GLADWIN COUNTY THROUGH 500 PM AND ARENAC COUNTY THROUGH 540 PM. SOME STORMS MAY CONTAIN LARGE HAIL AND WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH. REMEMBER...A WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND NEAR THE WATCH AREA. A COLD FRONT OVER THE UPPER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY WILL CONTINUE TO SLIDE EASTWARD THIS EVENING PRODUCING ADDITIONAL THUNDER&STORMS...SOME WHICH MAY BE SEVERE.
