FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 100 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN NORTHWEST CONNECTICUT
 
   ...LITCHFIELD COUNTY
 
RAINFALL DURING THE PAST 24 HOURS OF UP TO 5 INCHES HAS BROUGHT SOME
SMALL STREAMS OUT OF THEIR BANKS. ROADS HAVE BEEN CLOSED IN THE TOWNS OF
WOODBURY...WASHINGTON AND LITCHFIELD.  HEAVY RAIN WILL
GRADUALLY DIMINISH ACROSS SOUTHERN PARTS OF THE COUNTY BY LATE MORNING.
HEAVY RAIN WILL CONTINUE INTO THE AFTERNOON ACROSS NORTHERN PARTS OF THE
COUNTY.  THIS COMBINED WITH RUNOFF FROM PREVIOUS RAIN WILL FORCE
STREAMS OVER THEIR BANKS.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BEz
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
