THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBANY NY  HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  915 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN NORTHWEST CONNECTICUT
 
   ...SOUTHERN LITCHFIELD COUNTY
 
AT 610 PM EDT DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED THAT TWO TO THREE INCHES OF RAIN
HAD FALLEN DURING THE PAST TWO HOURS IN SOUTHERN LITCHFIELD COUNTY
BETWEEN BETHLEHEM AND WOODBURY. THE RAIN AREA WAS EXPANDING INTO THE
TOWNS OF WASHINGTON AND ROXBURY.
 
THE HEAVIEST RAIN HAD FALLEN ALONG ROUTE 132 BETWEEN BETHLEHEM AND
WOODBURY.
 
SMALL STREAMS AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS WILL BE THE MOST LIKELY TO FLOOD.
 
 
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONEDX QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
