DRIER AIR HAS CONTINUED TO FILTER INTO MISSOURI AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST
KANSAS LOWERING DEW POINTS AND HUMIDITY LEVELS.  THE WEATHER PATTERN
HAS NOT CHANGED OVER THE PAST FEW DAYS AND NO CHANGE IS EXPECTED AS
ALL MAJOR FRONTS REMAIN WELL AWAY FROM THE REGION.

JUST AS IN PAST DAYS...CUMULUS CLOUDS WILL BUILD THIS AFTERNOON AND
THERE REMAINS A VERY SLIGHT CHANCE THAT A SHOWER OR THUNDERSTORM
COULD DEVELOP. THE BEST CHANCE FOR THIS HAPPENING WILL BE ACROSS
CENTRAL MISSOURI.

ANY SHOWER OR STORM THAT MIGHT DEVELOP WILL NOT BE SEVERE.  THUS SPOTTER
ACTIVATION IS NOT EXPECTED.

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ALBUQUERQUE NM
425 PM MDT THU AUG 29 1996

AT 415 PM RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OVER THE ALBUQUERQUE
FOOTHILLS. SEVERAL REPORTS WERE RECEIVED FROM OBSERVERS AND RESIDENTS IN
THIS AREA FROM SHORTLY AFTER 4 PM TO 415 PM. THESE REPORTS INCLUDE 13/8
INCH HAIL AT JUAN TABO AND INDIAN SCHOOL AT 415PM. QUARTER SIZE HAIL WAS
REPORTED AT 410 PM AT TRAMWAY AND INDIAN SCHOOL.

ALSO BRIEF HEAVY DOWNPOURS HAVE ACCOMPANIED THIS STORM.  THIS RAIN WILL
QUICKLY RUN INTO NEARBY ARROYOS CAUSING QUICK AND DANGEROUS RISES.
ALSO LOCALIZED STREET FLOODING IS ALSO POSSIBLE.
