CORRECTION TO RAINFALL AMOUNTS PER HOUR

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  945 PM MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN EAST CENTRAL NEW MEXICO

   ...CENTRAL AND SOUTH CENTRAL SAN MIGUEL COUNTY

AT 646 PM MDT...A CLUSTER OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WAS OVER CENTRAL AND
SOUTHCENTRAL SAN MIGUEL COUNTY 10-25 MILES EAST AND SOUTHEAST OF LAS
VEGAS...DRIFTING VERY SLOWLY WEST NORTHWEST. RADAR ESTIMATED RAINFALL
AMOUNTS WERE IN THE 11/2 TO 21/2 INCH PER HOUR RANGE IN THESE AREAS.
ARROYOS AND SMALL STREAMS WILL LIKELY OVERFLOW WITH FAST FLOWING
WATER AS OTHER SHOWERS AND STORMS MOVE INTO THE AREA FROM THE EAST AND
SOUTHEAST. THE STORMS WERE TENDING TO WEAKEN AS THEY MOVED INTO LAS
VEGAS.


BOTH LOCALIZED AND DISTANT HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CREATE DANGEROUS
FLOWS IN ARROYOS AND OVER LOW WATER CROSSINGS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
DRIVE THROUGH THESE WATERS. WATER IN ARROYOS MAY TRAVEL MANY MILES
AND TAKE HOURS TO REACH YOUR LOCATION FROM UPSTREAM RAIN AREAS.
