IN EAST CENTRAL NEW MEXICO ...NORTHEASTERN GUADALUPE COUNTY...WESTERN QUAY COUNTY ...SOUTHEASTERN SAN MIGUEL COUNTY AT 200 AM MDT...RADAR INDICATED STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH TORRENTIAL RAINS EXTENDED FROM 20 MILES WEST OF CONCHAS LAKE TO 15 MILES WEST OF TUCUMCARI...MOVING SOUTHEAST NEAR 15 MPH. RADAR ESTIMATED RAIN AMOUNTS HAVE BEEN ONE AND ONE HALF TO TWO INCHES JUST WEST OF VARIADERO FROM 1 TO 2 AM. THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH ISSUED LATE THIS AFTERNOON FOR MOST OF NORTHEASTERN NEW MEXICO HAS BEEN CANCELLED. THE SEVERE WEATHER HAS MOVED EASTWARD INTO THE TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES. HOWEVER SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE OVER THE NORTHEAST HIGHLANDS AND THE NORTHEAST AND EASTCENTRAL PLAINS UNTIL AROUND 3 AM.
