THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1245 AM MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN EAST CENTRAL NEW MEXICO
 
   ...QUAY COUNTY
 
AT 920 PM MDT A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED FROM SOUTHWEST TO
NORTHEAST ACROSS QUAY COUNTY. DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY RAINS
WERE ASSOCIATED WITH THE LINE...WITH SOME STREET FLOODING IN TUCUMCARI.
THE LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AROUND 30 MILES AN HOUR.
 
WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING.  DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.  DON'T USE TELEPHONES
OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM
HAS PASSED.  MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE INTO LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
