FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  630 PM MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN CENTRAL NEW MEXICO
 
   ...NORTHERN LINCOLN COUNTY
 
AT 227 PM MDT...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS FROM ABOUT 20 MILES
NORTHEAST OF CARRIZOZO TO 30 MILES EAST OF CORONA WAS DRIFTING VERY
SLOWLY SOUTHEAST AND PRODUCING RADAR ESTIMATED RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF
NEARLY 2 INCHES PER HOUR. RAPID RISES IN ARROYO AND SMALL STREAM WATER
LEVELS WILL OCCUR IN THE PATH OF THESE STORMS WITH SOME FLOODING LIKELY
ESPECIALLY EAST OF HIGHWAY 54 INTO LATE AFTERNOON.

IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT

THE ROAlDWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
