000 TTAA00 KTUL 210039 RRA SVRTUL OKC121-210130- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TULSA OK 738 PM CDT THU JUL 20 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TULSA HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 830 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA ...PITTSBURG COUNTY AT 738 PM...RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 10 MILES SOUTHWEST OF MCALESTER MOVING EAST AT 25 MPH. SAVANNA IS IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM. DAMAGING WINDS WITH GUSTS UP TO 60 MPH WILL OCCUR WITH THIS LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THESE STORMS SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY IN THE LOWEST FLOOR OF YOUR BUILDING OR HOME. STAY AWAY FROM OUTSIDE WALLS AND WINDOWS. IF YOU ARE IN A MOBILE HOME YOU SHOULD MOVE TO A MORE SUBSTANTIAL STRUCTURE IF ONE IS NEARBY.

FPUS3 KTUL 202029 AFDTUL EASTERN OKLAHOMA/NORTHWEST ARKANSAS FORECAST DISCUSSION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TULSA OK 330 PM CDT THU JUL 20 1995 THE MODELS ARE SIMILAR TODAY IN BRINGING A RETURN TO SERIOUS SUMMERTIME CONDITIONS ACROSS THE AREA. 850 TEMPERATURES ARE PROGGED TO WARM CONSIDERABLY THROUGH SATURDAY...AND SHOULD PROVIDE A CAP FOR ANY POTENTIAL CONVECTION. MINOR FORCING ASSOCIATED WITH WEAK SHORT WAVE TROUGHS IN ZONAL FLOW TO THE NORTH OF OKLAHOMA SHOULD HAVE LITTLE EFFECT ON SENSIBLE WEATHER DUE TO THE STRONG CAPPING INVERSION. THEREFORE NO POPS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS FORECAST ...EXCEPT POTENTIALLY THIS EVENING IF THINGS FIRE UP LATE THIS AFTERNOON. THE MAJOR QUESTION FOR THIS FORECAST IS HOW HOT WILL IT GET? THE ETA AND AVN ARE MORE AMBITIOUS WITH THE WARMING AT 850MB THAN THE NGM...BUT THE FWC NUMBERS ARE ACTUALLY WARMER THAN THE FAN. I HAVE OPTED TO GO FOR A SIGNIFICANT WARMUP THAT WILL BE NEAR OR ABOVE FWC NUMBERS.
