000 TTAA00 KTUL 102202 FFWTUL OKC021-097-145-110100- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TULSA OK 455 PM CDT MON APR 10 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TULSA HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 800 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONSS... IN EAST CENTRAL OKLAHOMA ...CHEROKEE COUNTY IN NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA ...MAYES COUNTY...WAGONER COUNTY AT 452 PM...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM SILOAM SPRINGS TO WEBBERS FALLS. RADAR ESTIMATES 2-3 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN IN THE PAST HOUR. AN ADDITIONAL INCH OF RAIN IS POSSIBLE ACROSS MUCH OF CHEROKEE COUNTY DURING NEXT 1 TO 2 HOURS. FLOODING WAS ALSO REPORTED ALONG HIGHWAY 51A NEAR HASKELL. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS LIKELY OR HAS BEEN REPORTED. STAY ALERT AND WATCH FOR RAPIDLY RISING WATER. REMEMBER...IT'S IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE YOU ARE RELATIVE TO THE NEAREST STREAM...CREEK OR RIVER WHICH CAN BECOME A KILLER DURING PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN. MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER MAY BE TOO DEEP TO ALLOW YOU R CAR TO CROSS SAFELY.
