IN NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS ...CLOUD COUNTY...NORTHWESTERN OTTAWA COUNTY AT 845 AM...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM LOCATED ABOUT 25 MILES SOUTHWEST OF CONCORDIA...OR ABOUT 5 MILES NORTHWEST OF THE TOWN OF ADA. THE SEVERE STORM WAS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH...AND WILL BE NEAR THE TOWNS OF GLASCO...WHICH IS 15 MILES SOUTHWEST OF CONCORDIA... AND DELPHOS...WHICH IS 20 MILES SOUTH OF CONCORDIA...BY 9 AM. WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE TO A STRONG BUILDING. DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS. A VIGOROUS STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE INTO THE PLAINS TODAY FROM THE SOUTHWEST STATES. THIS STORM WILL INTERACT WITH VERY UNSTABLE AIR IN PLACE OVER THE PLAINS. THIS INTERACTION MAY PRODUCE SEVERE WEATHER. THE GREATEST THREAT OF SEVERE WEATHER...INCLUDING TORNADOS...WOULD BE OVER WESTERN AND SOUTHERN KANSAS. HOWEVER THE NORTHCENTRAL AND NORTHEAST SECTIONS MAY NOT ESCAPE THE SEVERE WEATHER EITHER. RAIN AND CLOUDS WILL KEEP TEMPERATURES COOLER OVER THE NORTHEAST SECTION.
