000 TTAA00 KSLC 130226 SVRSLC UTC057-130300- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SALT LAKE CITY UT 825 PM MDT FRI MAY 12 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 900 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTH CENTRAL UTAH ...WESTERN WEBER COUNTY AT 825 PM...DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR IS SHOWING A STRONG THUNDERSTORM MOVING SOUTHEASTWARD INTO WESTERN WEBER COUNTY. THIS STORM IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LARGE HAIL IN EXCESS OF 3/4 INCH IN DIAMETER. THE RADAR IS SHOWING THAT THIS THUNDERSTORM WILL PASS TO THE WEST OF THE I-15 CORRIDOR AND SHOULD NOT AFFECT THE OGDEN AREA. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER IN A STRONG BUILDING. DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN... AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. UTC027-023-130300- SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SALT LAKE CITY UT 805 PM MDT FRI MAY 12 1995 ...THUNDERSTORM WITH HAIL AT DELTA... WEATHER SPOTTERS IN DELTA WERE REPORTING A THUNDERSTORM AT 750 PM PRODUCING MAINLY PEA SIZED HAIL WITH A FEW STONES UP TO AN INCH IN DIAMETER. THE DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR SHOWS THIS STORM WEAKENING AS OF 755 PM AND MOVING OFF TO THE EAST. RESIDENTS OF NORTHEASTERN MILLARD COUNTY CAN EXPECT SOME SMALL HAIL FROM THIS STORM FOR THE NEXT 15-20 MINUTES BEFORE IT DISSIPATES. ADDITIONAL WEAKER THUNDERSTORMS WERE NOTED ON RADAR OVER NORTHERN MILLARD AND SOUTHERN JUAB COUNTIES THAT WERE ALSO MOVING EAST. THESE STORMS COULD BRIEFLY PRODUCE SMALL HAIL DURING THE NEXT HOUR OR SO. DANGEROUS LIGHTNING IS ALSO ASSOCIATED WITH THESE THUNDERSTORMS.
