THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY HAS ISSUED A 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR HIGH WINDS 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL  715 PM MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN CENTRAL UTAH

   ...NORTHERN UTAH COUNTY

AT 615 PM DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS MOVING ACROSS NORTHERN UTAH COUNTY.  THE STRONGEST
STORM WAS LOCATED ABOUT 10 MILES SOUTHWEST OF LEHI.   THE STORMS WERE
MOVING TOWARD THE EAST AT ABOUT 30 MPH. 

A WEATHER SPOTTER IN PLEASANT GROVE REPORTED ESTIMATED WIND GUSTS OF
60 MPH AT 617 PM. 

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND, HAIL, DEADLY LIGHTNING,
AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.  STAY INSIDE AWAY FROM WINDOWS UNTIL THE STORM
HAS PASSED.

MOVE INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING.  DO
NOT STATND BY WINDOWS.  AVOID THE USE OF TELEPHONES AND ELECTRICAL
APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED.

     ...STRONG THUNDERSTORM OVER SOUTHEAST TOOELE COUNTY...

AT 5 PM DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR AND WEATHER SPOTTERS IN DUGWAY
INDICATED A STRONG THUNDERSTORM IN THE DUGWAY AREA.

THIS STORM IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHEAST AT ABOUT 35 MPH AND WILL
MOVE ACROSS THE RUSH VALLEY AREA SOUTH OF TOOELE BY ABOUT 530 PM THEN
CONTINUE EASTWARD TO NEAJR THE POINT OF THE MOUNTAIN ABOUT 6 PM.

THIS STORM HAS THE POTENTIAL FOR STRONG GUSTY WINDS...SMALL
HAIL...AND BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL.
