AT 105 AM CST THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN SHREVEPORT SHOWED A 100 MILE WIDE AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THAT EXTENDED TO THE SOUTHEAST OF A LINE FROM NEAR SPARKMAN ARKANSAS TO FOUKE ARKANSAS TO NEAR TATUM TEXAS TO NEAR CHIRENO TEXAS. WITHIN THIS LARGE AREA THUNDERSTORMS THAT WERE PRODUCING HAIL...GUSTY WINDS NEAR 50 MPH...BRIEF HEAVY RAINS AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING WERE NOTED NORTHEAST OF BERNICE LOUISIANA NEAR HOMER...NEAR MINDEN...NEAR RINGGOLD...NEAR HALL SUMMIT AND NEAR MANSFIELD LOUISIANA AS WELL AS NEAR DE BERRY TEXAS. MOVEMENT WAS TO THE NORTHEAST AT 45 TO 50 MILES AN HOUR. SURFACE REPORTS ALSO INDICATED DRIZZLE OVER EAST TEXAS...SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS...AND NORTHWEST LOUISIANA. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH WAS NO IN EFFECT FOR MUCH OF LOUISIANA AND PARTS OF EXTREME EASTERN TEXAS UNTIL 700 AM. WARM MOIST AIR CONTINUED TO OVERSPREAD COOLER AIR AT THE SURFACE OVER THE ARKLATEX REGION TONIGHT RESULTING IN DENSE FOG. THE FOG HAD REDUCED THE VISIBILITIES TO BELOW ONE HALF MILE IN MANY AREAS AND TO NEAR ZERO IN SOME. THE FOG WILL MOST LIKELY REMAIN UNTIL A WARM FRONT PASSES ACROSS THE AREA SUNDAY AND ALLOWS DRIER AIR TO FOLLOW IN ITS WAKE. LATE NIGHT AND EARLY MORNING TRAVELERS SHOULD DRIVE WITH CAUTION. NNNN
